This was my first project in UCLA's Motion studio, and my first animation. After my classmates and I were taught the basics of After Effects, we were tasked to make a short animation (30 seconds - 1:30) using only rectangles and circles in a week.
As I was coming up with the abstract ways rectangles and circles would interact, I started imaging that the circle was flying, and jumping about organically while the rectangle would move strategically. That movement concept became the idea of a robot (made out of rectangles) being frightened by a bubble bee (made out of circles). This simple animation is meant to be slow and calming.
